DIRECTIONS TO OUR OFFICE

 

From Huntsville, AL  ( From the North)

 

1.                  Traveling south on I-65, just after you’ve passed the “FINLEY BLVD” exit, begin moving over to the far “left-hand” lane in order to merge (to the “left”) onto “I-59 NORTH / I-20 EAST”.  [Approximate Distance from “FINLEY BLVD” exit: 1.3 Miles]

 

2.                  Once onto I-59 North / I-20 East (as you approach the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Ctr. Complex, on the left-hand side of the interstate), begin moving over toward the far “right-hand” lane. 

 

3.                  Once you’ve passed the “22ND STREET” Exit, make sure that you’re in the far “right-hand” lane in order to take the “US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway – EXIT 126A” exit ramp, to the right.  [Approximate Distance from “I-65 // I-59 // I-20” interchange: 1.2 Miles]

 

4.                  Once you’re on US-280 East / US-31 South, continue all the way through the downtown business district [Approximate Distance: 2.8 Miles from the I-59 North / I-20 East  &  US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway interchange ].  You will pass the “UNIVERSITY BLVD” exit (on your right), and the St. Vincent’s Hospital complex (on your left) just before the cut into RedMountain, and will then procede past the “21STAVE, S / VULCANPARK” exit (on the “right-hand” side of the road) - making sure to be in the middle lane, so that you may proceed straight on Hwy 31, South -- rather than veering right to continue on Hwy 280, East.

 

5.                  Immediately following the split of Hwy 31, South & Hwy. 280, East, you should be in your right-hand lane and should take the Rosedale Drive to the right.  [Caution: you must merge onto Rosedale Drive at the bottom of the ramp.  There is no merging lane.  It may, therefore, be necessary for you to come to a complete stop, prior to merging onto Rosedale Drive.]

 

7.                  Immediately after you’ve crossed 21st Ave, S. onto “WOODCREST PLACE” and as you begin to top the hill, you will see “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” on your right.  [ Approximate Distance from “21stAVE, S. / WOODCREST PLACE” intersection: 30 – 40 yds. ]

 

8.                  Take a “right” onto “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY”.  Stay “straight” and to the right.  Look for signs saying “2000ASOUTHBRIDGE”.  At the corner of the SouthBridge building, stay to the ‘right’.  Follow the “2000ASOUTHBRIDGE” signs to the back of the building.  You will pass on the “right-hand” side of the building – with the building actually being on your “left-hand” side.  So, stay to the “right” as you enter into the office building complex.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 100 – 150  yds. ]

 

9.                  Look for the entrance (on the back “right-hand” side of the SouthBridge office building) that says “2000A”.  You will see a circular landscaping planting area and drive in front of the entrance.  Look for “Visitor Parking” to the right of the circular planting area and drive.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 200 – 250  yds. ]

 

10.              Enter through the “2000A” entrance.  You will actually be on the 3rd floor of the 2000 end of the building.

 

11.              Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.  As you exit the elevator (on the 5th Floor) turn to your “right”.  You will see the law office entrance of “Feld, Hyde, et. al.”.  Facing “Feld, Hyde’s” entrance, take another immediate “right”, following the hallway all the way to the end of the corridor.  As you approach the end of the corridor, you will see our sign: “Suite 519 Frank Chappelle & Co., Inc.” and reception area.

 

From Montgomery, AL  (From the South)

 


  1. Traveling north on I-65, as you are approaching Birmingham, you will pass the “ALABASTER / HWY. 31” exit.



 



  1. You will, then pass the “PELHAM / HWY 52”, “OAKMOUNTAIN / HWY 119 / INDIAN SPRINGS”, and “VALLEYDALE RD / HWY 17” exits.



 



  1. After the “VALLEYDALE RD / HWY 17” exit, you need to begin merging over into your far “right-hand” lane.  Approximately 11.3 Miles from the “ALABASTER / HWY. 31” exit, (i.e., just after the “VALLEYDALE RD / HWY 17” exit) you will merge onto “I-459 NORTH” leading toward ATLANTA / GADSDEN.  You, therefore, need to begin working your way over into the far “right-hand” lane, once you pass the “VALLEYDALE RD / HWY 17” exit.  You will have a couple of miles within which to work your way over.



 



  1. Once you have merged (to the “right”) off of “I-65 NORTH” onto “I-459 NORTH” leading toward ATLANTA / GADSDEN, you will travel approximately 4.6 Miles.  You will pass the “ACTON RD.” exit, before coming to the “MOUNTAIN BROOK / HWY 280 WEST / AL 38 WEST” exit.



 



  1. So, just beyond the “ACTON RD.” exit, make sure you’re in the far “right-hand” lane.  You’ll have a couple of miles within which to work your way over.



 



  1. When you exit onto HWY 280, make sure your taking the exit that will put you on “HWY 280 WEST” – leading toward MOUNTAIN BROOK and into BIRMINGHAM.  You should, at some point, cross back over I-459 – heading west.  [Again, the distance, from the “I-65 NORTH / I-459 NORTH” interchange to the “MTN BROOK / HWY 280 WEST” exit, should be approximately 4.6 Miles.]



 



  1. Once on “HWY 280”, heading “west”, you will travel a total of approximately 5.0 Miles.  You will, immediately, pass “The Summit” shopping complex (on the right); then, pass the intersections of “CAHABA RIVER RD. / DOLLY RIDGE RD.” and “GREEN VALLEY RD. / ROCKY RIDGE RD.”; then, pass the Birmingham water works treatment facility (on the ‘left’); pass “OVERTON RD.” and CHEROKEE RD” (on the ‘right’); and descend down a hill, crossing “SHADES CREEK PARKWAY”.  As you’ve crossed “SHADES CREEK PARKWAY” (while continuing on HWY 280 WEST into Mtn. Brook), you will travel ‘uphill’ past the “Office Park” business complex, which is on both sides of HWY 280.  You will pass an “Wachovia” and “AmSouth” bank (on the ‘left’), before passing the “HOLLYWOOD BLVD. / MONTEVALLO RD.” and “MOUNTAIN BROOK VILLAGE” exits.



 



  1. Once you’ve traveled under the “HOLLYWOOD BLVD” exit overpass and passed the “MOUNTAIN BROOKVILLAGE / BIRMINGHAM ZOO” exit (on the ‘right’), “HWY 280” begins to curve to the ‘left’.  Move over into your far ‘left-hand’ lane.  You will see a “Colonial Bank” building sitting off (by itself) to the ‘right’, once you’ve entered the ‘left-hand’ curve.  STAY TO THE LEFT.  “HWY 280” curves back to the ‘right’ and continues on into downtown Birmingham.  Your destination is not downtown Birmingham; it is Homewood.  So, STAY STRAIGHT, which actually keeps you to the “left’.  Although the road looks as if it’s still HWY 280, it is actually “ROSEDALE DR.”.  You will immediately travel under an the “HWY 280 EAST / HWY 31 SOUTH” overpasses (coming out of downtown Birmingham).  As you travel under both overpasses, work your way over to the far ‘right-hand’ lane.  You will make a ‘right-hand’ turn (at the traffic light immediately beyond the overpasses) onto “WOODCREST PLACE”.  [NOTE: The distance, from the “MTN BROOK / HWY 280 WEST” exit (off of I-459) to “WOODCREST PLACE”, should be approximately 5.3 Miles.]



 



  1.  Once on “WOODCREST PLACE”, you will travel only about 0.4 Miles.  Once you turn onto “WOODCREST PLACE”, you will immediately come to a traffic light (at “18th PLACE, S.”).  Continue on, straight through the traffic light and continuing on “WOODCREST PLACE”.  The road will continue curving to the ‘right’, will (then) curve back to the ‘left’ (as it takes you down into a ‘dip’) and, then, straighten out – taking you on a straight uphill incline.



 



  1. You will past the “Bank of Alabama / McPherson Oil” building, “Embassy Suites” Hotel, “First Commercial Bank” drive-through facility, and “AutoTrack” sign (all, on the ‘left’).  As you’re passing the “AutoTrack” sign (and beginning to ‘top’ the hill), look for “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY.” – coming out from the left.  [Again, you should have traveled only about 0.4 Miles on “CRESTWOOD PLACE”.  Should you begin downhill and come to another traffic light (i.e., “21stAVE., S.”), you’ve missed the “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY.” ‘left-hand’ turn.]



 



  1. Take a “left” onto “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY”.  Stay “straight” and to the right.  Look for signs saying “2000ASOUTHBRIDGE”.  At the corner of the SouthBridge building, stay to the ‘right’.  Follow the “2000ASOUTHBRIDGE” signs to the back of the building.  You will pass on the “right-hand” side of the building – with the building actually being on your “left-hand” side.  So, stay to the “right” as you enter into the office building complex.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 100 – 150  yds. ]



 



  1. Look for the entrance (on the back “right-hand” side of the SouthBridge office building) that says “2000A”.  You will see a circular landscaping planting area and drive in front of the entrance.  Look for “Visitor Parking” to the right of the circular planting area and drive.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 200 – 250  yds. ]



 



  1. Enter through the “2000A” entrance.  You will actually be on the 3rd floor of the 2000 end of the building.



 



  1. Take the elevator to the 5th Floor.  As you exit the elevator (on the 5th Floor) turn to your “right”.  You will see the law office entrance of “Feld, Hyde, et. al.”.  Facing “Feld, Hyde’s” entrance, take another immediate “right”, following the hallway all the way to the end of the corridor.  As you approach the end of the corridor, you will see our sign: “Suite 519 Frank Chappelle & Co., Inc.” and reception area.



 


From Anniston, AL  (From the East)


 



  1. Traveling west on I-20, as you have already passed “Leeds, AL” and the Eastwood Mall area of Birmingham (i.e., have already passed the “CRESTWOOD BLVD. / US-78” and “MONTEVALLO RD.” exits), you will come to the interchange, where “I-20 WEST” and “I-59 SOUTH” merge.



 



  1. Follow the interstate signs saying: “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH” into downtown Birmingham.  The interstate will turn sharply to the “left”, next to the “ForrestHillCemetery” and will bend back to the “right”, as you pass the “MESSER AIRPORT HWY.” exit.  Continue following “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH” into downtown Birmingham.



 



  1. As you continue traveling on “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH” toward downtown Birmingham, you will pass the “TALLAPOOSA ST. / 40TH ST., N.” exit.  Begin working your way over into the far “right-hand” lane.



 



  1. As you pass the “31ST ST., N.” exit, look for signs, directing you to “US-280 EAST / US-31 SOUTH / ELTON B. STEPHENS EXPRESSWAY / AL-3 SOUTH”.  [Approximate Distance from the “MONTEVALLO RD.” exit to the “US-280 EAST / US-31 SOUTH / ELTON B. STEPHENS EXPRESSWAY / AL-3 SOUTH” exit: 6.1 Miles].



 



  1. [IMPORTANT]: As you take “US-280 EAST / US-31 SOUTH / ELTON B. STEPHENS EXPRESSWAY / AL-3 SOUTH” exit (to the “right”) off of “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH”, look for the sign, saying: “US-280 EAST / US-31 SOUTH”.  Immediately, upon exiting “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH”, you will need to move over to the “left-hand” lane.  You must stay in the far “left-hand” lane at all times to ensure deposit onto “US-280 EAST / US-31 SOUTH” and not “5TH AV., N. / CARRAWAY BLVD.”.



 



  1. Once you’re on US-280 East / US-31 South, continue all the way through the downtown business district [Approximate Distance: 2.9 Miles from the “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH”,&  “US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway” interchange ].  You will pass the “UNIVERSITY BLVD” exit (on your right) and the St. Vincent’s Hospital complex (on your left) just before the cut into RedMountain.



 



  1. Take the “21STAVE, S / VULCANPARK” exit (on the “right-hand” side of the road).  [Again, Approximate Distance: 2.9 Miles from the “I-20 WEST / I-59 SOUTH”,&  “US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway” interchange ].



 



  1. At the bottom of the “21STAVE, S / VULCANPARK” exit ramp, you should go “straight”, crossing “21st AVENUE, S”.  You should see a “SouthBridge” office complex sign.  You are now on “Woodcrest Place”.



 



  1. Immediately after you’ve crossed 21st Ave, S. onto “WOODCREST PLACE” and as you begin to top the hill, you will see “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” on your right.  [ Approximate Distance from “21stAVE, S. / WOODCREST PLACE” intersection: 30 – 40 yds. ]



 



  1. Take a “right” onto “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY”.  Stay “straight”.  Look for signs saying “          2000A SOUTHBRIDGE”.  Follow “2000A SOUTHBRIDGE” signs to the back of the building.  You will pass on the “right-hand” side of the building – with the building actually being on your “left-hand” side.  So, stay to the “right” as you enter into the office building complex.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 100 – 150  yds. ]



 



  1. From Tuscaloosa, AL  (From the West)


 



  1. Traveling north on I-59, as you’re approaching Birmingham (and after you’ve passed the U. S. Steel – Fairfield Works, the “MIDFIELD / FAIRFIELD / VALLEY RD.”, “GRAY AV.”, “34TH ST., ENSLEY / PIKE RD.”, and “BUSH BLVD” exits), you will pass the “HWY 78 / BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERN COLLEGE / ARKADELPHIA RD.” exit.



 



  1. As you pass the “HWY 78 / BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERNCOLLEGE / ARKADELPHIA RD.” exit, make sure you begin moving over into your far ‘left-hand’ lane.  Approximately 2.5 Miles past the “HWY 78 / BIRMINGHAM-SOUTHERNCOLLEGE / ARKADELPHIA RD.” exit, you will merge (to the ‘left’) onto “I-59 NORTH / I-20 EAST” toward “I-65 NORTH / DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM”.  You will merge to the ‘left’, but will, also, veer back to the ‘right’ (following the signs that say: “I-59 NORTH / I-20 EAST”, as “I-65 NORTH”, then, continues ‘straight’ (to the left).  You will stay on “I-59 NORTH / I-20 EAST”, through downtown Birmingham, only for about 1.2 Miles or so, before merging onto: “US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway”.



 



  1. As you continue on “I-59 NORTH / I-20 EAST”, you through downtown Birmingham, you will see the “AlabamaPowerCompanyBuilding” in the downtown skyline (to your right); and, as you approach the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Ctr. Complex (on the left-hand side of the interstate), begin moving over toward the far “right-hand” lane. 



 



  1. Once you’ve passed the “22ND STREET” Exit, make sure that you’re in the far “right-hand” lane in order to take the “US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway” exit ramp, to the right.  [Again, approximate Distance from “I-65 // I-59 // I-20” interchange: 1.2 Miles]



 



  1. Once you’re on US-280 East / US-31 South, continue all the way through the downtown business district [Approximate Distance: 2.8 Miles from the I-59 North / I-20 East  &  US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway interchange ].  You will pass the “UNIVERSITY BLVD” exit (on your right) and the St. Vincent’s Hospital complex (on your left) just before the cut into RedMountain.



 



  1. Take the “21STAVE, S / VULCANPARK” exit (on the “right-hand” side of the road).  [Again, Approximate Distance: 2.8 Miles from the I-59 North / I-20 East  &  US-280 East / US-31 South / Elton B. Stephens Expressway interchange ].



 



  1. At the bottom of the “21STAVE, S / VULCANPARK” exit ramp, you should go “straight”, crossing “21st AVENUE, S”.  You should see a “SouthBridge” office complex sign.  You are now on “Woodcrest Place”.



 



  1. Immediately after you’ve crossed 21st Ave, S. onto “WOODCREST PLACE” and as you begin to top the hill, you will see “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” on your right.  [ Approximate Distance from “21stAVE, S. / WOODCREST PLACE” intersection: 30 – 40 yds. ]



 



  1. Take a “right” onto “SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY”.  Stay “straight”.  Look for signs saying “          2000A SOUTHBRIDGE”.  Follow the “2000A SOUTHBRIDGE” signs to the back of the building.  You will pass on the “right-hand” side of the building – with the building actually being on your “left-hand” side.  So, stay to the “right” as you enter into the office building complex.  [ Approximate Distance from “WOODCREST PLACE / SOUTHBRIDGE PKWY” intersection: 100 – 150  yds. ]
